Terms of Sales:


Since January 1, 2010, the transport of people for a fee is regulated by a new decree published in the Official Journal of the French Republic. In France, only cars with at least four seats driven by drivers holding the relevant professional card and having the necessary qualifications are authorized there. Authorized vehicles and personnel are checked by the Prefectures to provide this service.
Any order placed with the company Cognac Chauffeur Privé entails the acceptance of all the conditions of sale (below), which form an integral part of the transport contract signed between the company Cognac Chauffeur Privé and its client. Any modification proposed by one of the parties may be accepted after written agreement by both parties.


PRICES :

The transfer fare applies to direct non-stop transport from the pick-up point to the arrival point, the service ending immediately afterwards. The minimum service billed for mini van is: 1 hour day or night rate.
Our prices are applicable with a VAT of 10% except for the service of driver only VAT 20%.
The prices indicated are inclusive of all taxes and include the vehicle, the driver's service, insurance for the persons transported, fuel. Tolls and car parks not initially provided for in the journey, entrances to sites (museums, theatres, castles, estates) remain the responsibility of the customer. Customer meals are not included in the price of the service.
The communicated price corresponds to a price per vehicle, whatever the number of people, maximum 7 for the mini van. The quantity of luggage transported is limited by the capacity of the vehicle, subject to prior information to the customer.
For all services, except transfers to a place of meeting or public transport, including the time slot between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., a meal will be invoiced in addition.
The prices indicated on our quotes are valid only 15 days after the date of publication.
The kilometers and the time are counted departure garage and return garage Houlette 16200. Any overrun of time and kilometer not envisaged in the initial estimate will be the object of an additional invoicing. Any hour started is due.


RESERVATION :

Upon receipt of your request, we will send you an estimate corresponding to the elements provided. This estimate must be returned to us, by post or electronically, dated, signed and must contain the words "Good for reservation" and "Accepting all of the general conditions of the contract". The firm reservation of the vehicle will only be taken into account upon receipt of the said quote and a valid credit card number (with expiry date), a deposit of 50% to 100% of the price indicated on the quote. The reservation by "order form" confirmed by us, agreement or others will be accepted only for customers who already have an open account in the company.


CANCELATION :

Any reservation canceled within 3 days (72 hours) preceding the pick-up time as defined in the estimate accepted by the customer, will be invoiced at the rate of 50% of the amount of the estimate. Any reservation canceled within 24 hours prior to the pick-up time as defined by the estimate accepted by the customer, will be invoiced at 100% of the amount of the estimate. The non-presentation of the persons to be transported at the pick-up meeting (address and time) set by the principal will be a case of cancellation of the contract giving rise to the right to payment of the service provided and any damages or disbursements. undergone/incurred by society. BENEFIT :

The service is only valid once, if it turns out that the customer was not present at the meeting place, the service would be definitively lost, and would not give rise to any right to a refund. Any wait, beyond a one-hour deductible, will be invoiced on the hourly basis mentioned in our tariffs.
Any damage caused to the interior of the vehicle will be the responsibility of the customer. It is forbidden to smoke and consume alcohol and narcotics in the vehicle. Wearing a belt at the back as well as at the front remains COMPULSORY. The responsibility of our drivers being engaged during the rental period of the vehicle, they are instructed to respect and enforce the laws in force. Under no circumstances will the customer be able to demand that the driver exceed the authorized speed limit and fail to comply with the highway code.
The company Cognac Chauffeur Privé reserves the right to interrupt the service in progress if the driver realizes that the customer is committing an offence, drug use, alcohol consumption, non-locking of the seat belt, but still if the behavior of the customers jeopardizes the safety of the driver or that of the rented vehicles, but also if the customers are insulting to the driver.


MODIFICATION(S) DURING SERVICE:

Any modification of the route by the customer during the service and resulting in changes to the route may generate supplements to be paid to third parties or reimbursed to the driver, at the end of the service. In case of modification of the route or its duration due to the client, the driver will note them on his mission order and have them signed by the person in charge. In the event of modification of the duration due to the sole initiative of the client, the costs incurred will be borne by the latter.


RULES:

Our services are payable up to 50% when ordering; the balance at the deposit of travelers, except for customers benefiting from an outstanding amount in our establishment. We accept payment by bank transfer, check, cash and bank card (visa, master, Amex).


LIMITATION CLAUSES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cognac Chauffeur Privé can in no way be held responsible for delays in transport times due to circumstances beyond its control: road closed, work of art prohibited to traffic, diversion, flooded road, traffic jams, interventions on the pavement of the public forces (police, customs, firefighters, etc... without this list being exhaustive). In the event of immobilization of the vehicle during the journey due to a mechanical failure, an accident or damage (damage, theft), the company Cognac Chauffeur Privé will endeavor to ensure the continuity of the journey, either with one of its vehicles, or with a vehicle chartered from another company and undertakes to notify the principal.


POLICE AND SAFETY RULES:

The vehicle and the driver will be provided with the on-board documents necessary for the smooth running of the entire service. The principal and the passengers are required to comply with the regulations applicable to persons and their luggage in the country crossed. In accordance with the law in force in all public places, it is strictly forbidden to smoke on board the vehicle. In accordance with the provisions of the drinking establishments code, it is forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages on board the vehicle. Wearing a seat belt is compulsory for all passengers in vehicles equipped with this equipment.


DISPUTE :

These General Conditions of Sale and the resulting transactions between the Service Provider and the Customer are governed by and subject to French law. These General Conditions of Sale are written in French. In the event that they are translated into one or more foreign languages, only the French text shall prevail in the event of a dispute.
All disputes to which the purchase and sale transactions concluded pursuant to these general conditions of sale could give rise, concerning their validity, their interpretation, their execution, their termination, their consequences and their consequences and which would not have could be resolved amicably between the seller and the customer, will be submitted to the competent courts under the conditions of common law.
